A waterfall braid is a form of French braid (when I finally 100% ace french braiding, I will finally do a tutorial on that) when one strand is left unbraided and left to hang down with the normal hair.
This style is very popular among American Girl doll hairstyling groups. This hairstyle is Kaleia's absolute favorite!

There are many variations of this braid, but I have my own personal variation... It takes a long time to do, let alone perfect! Instead of stopping with one braid, you braid until you either a) can't take it anymore or b) you run out of hair.
