Happy Mardi Gras!
Woot, woot! Mardi Gras is here! Sadly, I haven't had the time/resources to put together a nice, big shindig, but... Mardi Gras is still awesome! I hope you guys enjoyed the menu I put together for you last Friday. Next year, I'll have something together. (Hopefully. Get your 'promises I made but couldn't eventually keep' counter.). Maybe one day I'll go to New Orleans for myself and have some Mardi Gras fun there? Who knows! But for now, I hopefully will have at least a little something for you guys tomorrow. Thank you all for supporting my blog by reading through my posts and I hope that you guys know that I put my heart into it! :) I may even do a little giveaway or something really special... hmm, I don't know, you guys will just have to wait and see...
Random Fun Fact: The purple, green and gold colors for Mardi Gras were chosen in 1872 by that year's Mardi Gras king. Purple means justice, green means faith and gold means power. I'm a sucker for color symbolism, so I keep track of these things...
