Tutorial Tuesday - DIY Record Player

This one page out of my much-loved at the moment "The Book of Arts & Crafts" has this idea for making a record cabinet. If you are good at wood working, this is the project for you... if you have a record player. I'm kind of surprised that Melody doesn't have a record player. And if you don't think that is fitting for her time period of the 60s, this book was first made in 1954. This will be a great project not only for Melody, but for Maryellen and Julie, too!

There are many ways to go about making a record player for your dolls. Cardboard is obviously the most simple and cost-effective option, since everything now a days has a cardboard box. I am up to my armpits in cardboard at this moment, in fact. Living a Doll's Life as a tutorial on how to make your very own doll-sized record player, so check it out here!

You can also use an old jewelry box to make a record player, if you like to paint and have a jewelry box you don't like or use around. You can find the tutorial here
