Media Monday - Calico Critters Cozy Cottage & Tuxedo Cat Family - Koalaity Review

Ok, so I know it seems like 99.9% of my Koalaity Reviews are based on Calico Critter stuff, but... I get them more often than anything AG-related, so here goes.

My mom goes away for the weekend, promising me that she'd get me something because of all the times last week we had to cancel plans and so on and so forth. When we finally were able to hit up the local Wal-Mart, nothing there interested me. Yes, there was My Life As dolls. But as I've said a million times to you guys (and myself), I'm waiting until I have a full wardrobe for them before I get more. I was more looking at Calico Critters, mainly because... as much as I try to lie to myself about this... I LOVE THEM SO MUCH THEY ARE SO CUTE OMG WHEN CAN I HAVE MORE?!?! Ahem. Anyways...

Mom comes back with this!

The Tuxedo Cat Family (more like one black cat and the others being white with a black ear... not tuxedo at all, but okay I'll play along since there's a black cat) and the Cozy Cottage (with another orphaned rabbit... that seems to be a running theme with my collection...).

And since I'm an immature child trapped in a woman's body, I, of course, had to tell myself to wait until mom came in to rip into the packaging.

The cottage is really versatile. The 2nd floor can become a bottom floor extender and the front/backyard, the furniture is detailed (there's a little doily on the table, and the bench has little flowers on it, the bed sheet comes off) and it attaches to the old Grocery Store and to the Townhouse Deluxe home. My only real complaint is that there's bedroom, kitchen and dining room furniture but no living room furniture? My critter's house is really empty at the moment so I have to get them more furniture (or make it..). I'd recommend it as a good starting piece or a good piece for small families. Since mine is huge by now... I'll need a bigger house.

Now onto the new family members - the Tuxedo Cat Family! Now, I know that they have names in the... Calico Critter... mythos... or whatever. But I've always wanted a black cat to name 'Jinx' (or Jinxy-Winxy....). So I'm naming these guys myself because I can and there's nothing you can do to stop me.

Top to bottom, L-R: Jasmine Tux (mom), Jinx Tux (dad), Bruce Outback (dad), Shelia Outback (mom) and Joey Outback (baby), Jackie Tux (toddler), Jessie Tux (girl), Adelaide Outback (toddler), Eleanor Rabbit-Outback (girl), Libby Rabbit-Outback (toddler) and Ogden Outback (naked toddler).
